About the Instructor:

SelfPortraitElizabeth Eero Irving is a professional studio artist working and living in Fairbanks, Alaska. She earned her BFA in Documentary Photography from Cornish College and an MFA in Multi-media painting from Johnson State College, in conjunction with the Vermont Studio Center. She is a Kreielsheimer Scholar, and is the recipient of a Rasmuson Project Award, and a Connie Boochever Artist Fellowship from the Alaska Arts and Culture Foundation, administered by the Alaska State Council on the Arts. As an independent curator, she creates multi-media themed exhibits to inspire her fellow artists. She is also the founding member of Fairbanks Sketchers, a local drawing group. When not making art, Elizabeth volunteers in feline rescue and tends to a growing herd of orchids.
