Fairbanks Arts invites Interior Alaskan artists to take part in our new spring juried exhibit. This new exhibition will be thematic (much like Patterns of Influence had been), the theme of which will be voted in annually by the public. The theme chosen by Fairbanks Arts supporters for our first spring juried exhibit is:

CONVERGENCE

Here are some definitions of convergence courtesy of Merriam Webster to get the creativity going:

  1.  the act of converging and especially moving toward union or uniformity

  2.  independent development of similar characters (as of bodily structure of unrelated organisms or cultural traits) often associated with similarity of habits or environment

  3. the merging of distinct technologies, industries, or devices into a unified whole

We look forward to artists’ interpretation of Convergence.
