Interdependence — a Spring Juried Exhibition
Guest Juror: Susan Joy Share (Anchorage)
Online Registration Deadline: Thursday, April 23, 11:59 p.m.
In-person Registration & Artwork Intake: Sunday, April 26, 12–4 p.m.
Fairbanks Arts invites artists to explore the concept of Interdependence—the way people, systems, and elements rely on and support one another.
Presented in conjunction with Fairbanks Arts’ 60th anniversary year, “Interdependence” is a reflection on the relationships that sustain the arts in Interior Alaska: artists and audiences, mentors and emerging creators, volunteers and organizers, and the many cultural and creative networks that have supported artistic exchange over the past six decades. Just as ecosystems thrive through mutual support, the arts community grows through collaboration, generosity, and collective effort.
This exhibition invites artists to explore the many forms of interdependence—
social, ecological, cultural, and creative.
Original work across painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, photography, glass, jewelry, and fiber will be accepted for consideration by this year’s guest juror, Susan Joy Share of Anchorage, AK.
Awards
Juror’s Choice / $200 · Second Place / $150 · Third Place / $100 · Honorable Mentions
Awards will be presented at the First Friday opening reception on May 1 at 6:00 pm.
