Fairbanks Arts matches artists to schools for several weeks of artistic residency in the Artists in Schools (AIS) Program within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. Twenty weeks of residency are offered throughout the academic year. AIS residencies are active studies that span traditional and contemporary art forms including music, dance, traditional Alaska Native art, media and digital arts, visual arts, literary art, and drama.

Below, you can see the most recent version of the Fairbanks Arts and Cultural Education (FACE) Handbook. This handbook thoroughly describes the Artist in Schools program and includes artists who are eligible to participate for the current school year. It is updated in late September/early October each year after new artists are certified through our Teaching Artist Training.
