Limited Edition: An Open Exhibition of Small Works

Fairbanks Arts invites Interior Alaska artists 18+ to enter Limited Edition, an open invitation exhibition of small works with no jury. Works must be 12 inches or smaller in any direction and available for purchase.

Who can enter

Artists 18 and older who live in the Interior of Alaska (Doyon Region).

How it works: buy, take, replace

All works must be for sale. When a piece sells, the buyer takes it home right away. We’ll contact the artist to bring in a replacement, so the show stays full and fresh. Replacements are encouraged by not required. There’s no entry fee for replacement works.

What to enter

  • Up to five (5) works, no larger than 12 inches in any direction, including frame or base
  • Painting, drawing, ceramics, print, sculpture, mixed media, photography, glass, jewelry, and fiber
  • Original work, or prints of original work, that reflects your own creative effort. No kits, copies of other artists’ work, copyrighted characters or fanart, or generative AI.
  • Work ready to hang or display at intake. Wall-hung pieces need a secure metal wire hanger attached with metal hardware. Quilts and other soft hangings need 2-inch-wide Velcro stitched across the top.

Entry fees

  • Online by October 29: $5 per piece. Fairbanks Arts members at the Artist ($75) level or higher get a fee waiver on their third entry.
  • Day-of registration, Sunday, November 1, 12–4 p.m.: $6 per piece, no fee waiver. Checks payable to Fairbanks Arts Association.

Key dates

  • Thursday, October 29, 11:59 p.m.: Online registration closes
  • Sunday, November 1, 12–4 p.m.: In-person registration and artwork intake at the Bear Gallery, 3rd floor
  • Friday, November 6, 5–7 p.m.: Opening reception
  • November 6–28, Monday–Saturday, 12–6 p.m.: Exhibition on view
  • Sunday, November 29, 12–4 p.m.: Artwork pick-up
