K–12 FNSBSD student artwork will take over the Bear Gallery for March during National Youth Art Month!
Here are THREE important steps to getting your student’s artwork into Up With Art!
1. Review the Prospectus
Before submitting, please carefully read the Prospectus. It outlines all participation guidelines, artwork requirements, and important deadlines.
2. Complete the Online Registration
One (1) original artwork by a K–12 student enrolled in an FNSBSD-affiliated school MUST be registered through the online form to be displayed in the exhibition.
The online registration form may be completed by either a parent/guardian or a teacher.
➡️ Registration deadline: Sunday, February 22 at 11:59 p.m. (AKST)
If more than one submission is received for the same student, Fairbanks Arts staff will contact the submitters to confirm which artwork will be included.
3. Help Spread the Word
Teachers are encouraged to share this opportunity with students. A printable flier is available at the end of this page for easy distribution.

Sales, Photography & Permissions
Is student artwork for sale?
Fairbanks Arts does not broker the sale of student artwork in Up With Art. We do not share the contact information of a student artist with the public, nor do we take personal information from a member of the public to then pass on to a student or their family. Up With Art is a celebration of arts education in our public schools; once a student is aged 18+ there are other exhibition opportunities they can participate in with Fairbanks Arts where they may have an opportunity to sell their artwork.
Can Fairbanks Arts use images of student artwork?
Yes. By submitting artwork, parents, guardians, and teachers grant Fairbanks Arts Association permission to photograph, display, and use images of student artwork for Fairbanks Arts publicity and exhibition-related purposes, including display in the FNSB Mayor’s Office. All artwork will be properly credited to the student artist.
