Submissions for the 2026 Crafting Community: A Fairbanks Arts Gift Guide are officially OPEN!
Fairbanks Arts invites Interior Alaskan artists, artisans, authors, and creatives over the age of 18 to submit up to two original works to be featured in this year’s Gift Guide.

ABOUT
The 2026 Guide will debut on November 29, 2025 (Small Business Saturday) and is a resource for shopping local that can be enjoyed by readers all year round. This printed Guide will feature artists, artisans, makers, and authors of Interior Alaska and reflect the creativity of our diverse Interior Alaskan communities.
The Guide aims to amplify the work of Interior Alaskan makers, promote handmade and original creative works, encourage consumers to purchase handmade, prioritize local, and support Alaskan creatives as small businesses. Check out the digital PDF of the 2025 Gift Guide here.
DEADLINE & ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
Eligible Artists can submit up to two (2) entries
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS EXTENDED
Sunday, October 26th, before midnight
Eligibility Information
(Full guidelines are available in the submission form)
- Must reside in Interior Alaska, Doyon region.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Artists/artisans/makers/authors/creatives with quality handmade or self-produced items that are their original work or publications and do not violate copyright laws.
- Artists should either actively have products for sale and a means to connect with buyers or be open to commission/custom requests from buyers.
Additional requirements
- Artist must complete the submission form in full and provide high-quality photos as part of their submission.
- Artists must review and agree to the participation terms and acknowledgments for the Gift Guide, which cover submission integrity and professional conduct.

A note on Fairbanks Arts Membership (encouraged, not required for participation)
To support the creation and sustainability of the Gift Guide as a resource, we encourage returning Gift Guide artists and those financially capable of doing so to maintain Fairbanks Arts membership at the “Artist” level ($75) or higher. Click here to become a member and learn about additional membership benefits! Please note that if this is a financial barrier for you, keep reading and still submit your entries!
First-time Gift Guide participants and/or participants with financial need: If you are unable to become a Fairbanks Arts member at this time but would like to contribute to the Gift Guide at a different level comfortable for you, you will have an opportunity to make an optional, custom donation before submitting the form.
Important: if you have financial need and can make no financial contribution, still submit your entries! Membership status will not impact your entries being featured in the Gift Guide!
