Saturday, September 7, 7pm,
in the Bear Gallery
For September’s reading series, we linked up with faculty from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and are delighted to welcome Joe Holt and Eric Heyne to the Bear Gallery! Both writers not only teach English at UAF, but have published many fiction and non-fiction works in journals all over the country, some of which they will share with their audience during the reading. Join Fairbanks Arts, Joe and Eric for an evening of culture and literary enjoyment in a space of art.
Meet our September readers:
Eric Heyne
Eric Heyne is a professor of English at UAF, where he has taught American literature and critical theory since 1986. He has published articles on Alaskan and other American literature and on the theory of the fiction/nonfiction distinction. He has also published poems in a dozen journals. Most recently he is the editor of a new edition of Jack London’s novel Burning Daylight published by the UA Press.
Joe Holt

Holt’s fiction has appeared in Gulf Coast, New Ohio Review and elsewhere. His stories are often set in the American Great Plains, and his characters include journalists, amateur athletes and highway workers.
