Start off the year right by getting organized with Fairbanks Arts’ first workshop of 2018!

Recording and organizing your artist/artisan’s career information is crucially important, just as it is for any business person. This workshop will discuss saving your art career facts and figures, as well as multiple options for how to organize that information. We’ll also cover the important documents critical to any working artist’s career: resume, applications, and digital images. We’ll review easy approaches to organizing your information, as well as more complex systems to track a lifetime’s work. Handouts with examples and details included.

 

About the Instructor

Elizabeth Eero Irving  is a professional studio artist working and living in Fairbanks, Alaska. She earned her BFA in Documentary Photography from Cornish College and an MFA in Multi-media painting from Johnson State College, in conjunction with the Vermont Studio Center. She is a Kreielsheimer Scholar, and is the recipient of a Rasmuson Project Award, and a Connie Boochever Artist Fellowship from the Alaska Arts and Culture Foundation, administered by the Alaska State Council on the Arts. As an independent curator, she creates multi-media themed exhibits to inspire her fellow artists. When not making art, Elizabeth volunteers in feline rescue and tends to a growing herd of orchids.
