Paul Greci is a writer and teacher who lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. His novel, Surviving Bear Island, a survival story set in Prince William Sound is a 2015 Junior Library Guild Selection, a 2015 Alaska Dispatch Favorite, and a 2016 Scholastic Reading Club Selection. When he’s not teaching or writing,Paul spends his time exploring the roadless areas of Alaska on foot and by kayak. His many extended kayak excursions in Prince William Sound over the past 25 years, both solo and with friends, provided the inspiration for writing Surviving Bear Island.
