We are very pleased to announce the award winners for the 2014 Interior Alaska Mayors’ Awards for the Arts.
Fairbanks Arts Association and the Mayors of Interior Alaska will be honoring the winners in an awards ceremony to recognize their outstanding contributions in the arts for the following categories:
- Arts & Leadership Award: Dick and Hoa Brickley (Ice Alaska) of Fairbanks
- Volunteer Award: Margo Klass of Fairbanks
- Volunteer Award: Michael Kingston of Delta Junction
- Arts Advocacy Award: John Poirrier (North Pole Grange) of North Pole
- Youth Arts Award: Healy Tech Team of Healy
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Norman Shelburne (North Star Ballet) of Fairbanks
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Harold ‘Doc’ South of Fairbanks
The award ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts Theater in Pioneer Park, 2300 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK.
A punch and cupcake reception will follow in the Bear Gallery.
The event is free and open to the public. We encourage you to come and join Fairbanks Arts Association and the Mayors of Interior Alaska in honoring our community members for their hard work and dedication to the arts.
