Each year, the Fairbanks Arts Visual Arts Committee invites artists to submit portfolios for review, with selected artists having their work exhibited in the Bear Gallery. Portfolios are chosen solely on the merit of the work samples entered and are reviewed by a panel of local professional artists.
Applications may be submitted for:
- Solo Exhibit: One Artist
- Group: Separate works of more than two artists
- Curated: Curator selects theme, conceptual focus, and included artwork
The annual submission deadline for Portfolio Review is October 31
The application period for exhibition year 2019 is now closed. Check back for 2020 exhibition year details
Eligibility: The annual portfolio review call is open to residents of Alaska ages 18 or older. An individual artist may have a solo exhibit in the Bear Gallery once every four years. Curated exhibits are not subject to this policy.
