Gazebo Nights: Summer Performance Series

The De Anne and Eric FiascoGazebo Nights Summer Performance Series features live performances every night of June, July, and August. Performances take place in the white gazebo near Gold Rush town in Pioneer Park and are FREE to attend from 7-8pm. If there is rain, sometimes performances will take place indoors in the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts. (If there is a cancellation, if possible we will post on our Fairbanks Arts Facebook page as soon as we know).

Steven Moore – 60 year old single father of a ten year old son (full time). I’d like to think my music tells stories & helps people feel good while listening. I enjoy Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Eddie Cochran & the older musicians from the 1950’s .

Monday, August 6th and 27th – Martin Miller, Storytelling

Old Pete came to Alaska in the 1880s to “Teach those folks how to mine gpub2018aold.” Along the way he had more than one adventure.

Join Martin Miller, Storyteller to hear how Old Pete came to be known as Grizly Pete, and changed the way gold mining was done in Alaska forever.

Martin tells traditional and original folk tales, the occasional Robert Service verse, and (once in a while) juggles before and after the show.

Monday, August 13th– Clarence Pat, Jazz Pianoimage1(1)(1)

I’m a native of the Philadelphia music scene that came to Fairbanks, Alaska by way of The Army Band. Monday evenings Clarence will be performing Jazz Standard on Piano, that has a modern twist and more funky taste beat. This kind of music will make your head moved up and town and your hips twitch all over.” – Clarence Pate

Triple Play, String Trio

“Triple Play” is a string trio consisting of brothers Jonathan (violin) and JoshuaTriple Play (cello), and their sister Audrey (violin). As young musicians, they have grown up in Fairbanks learning music through the Suzuki method as part of the Fairbanks School of Talent Education. They also participate in the Fairbanks Youth Orchestra and the Alaska Cello Intensive. Their music is a blend of their classical music repertoire, along with popular music selections that they have arranged for string trio. The name of their group, Triple Play, is a nod to one of their other favorite pastimes – baseball!

David Snyderman, Standards & Country Rock

Music Dave is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who has been sharing his music here in Alaska for over a decade! He arrived here with the US Army David Syndermanaround the turn-of-the-century and started playing guitar during the long winter nights. His musical sets are full of original songs about laughter love and travel, and they sometimes carry a positive spiritual overtone.
