In her mixed media paintings she uses familiar materials such as beads, paper, porcupine quills, thread and fabric in unconventional ways to examine and understand her individual and cultural identities and how the two inform her view of the world. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She lives in Fairbanks with her husband and two children.
